Honda Civic InformationUsed Honda CivicQuestion: Honda civic !!!!? Answer: okay dude...I'm an american tuner and I dunno how hard they are to find over there but they are really abundant here!!! The type-R is really rare here though!! If you can find one for under 10,000.00 USD then it is worth it!!! but I would also recommend that you just get a civic and make it a type R yourself..... I've seen this alot here and I have a JDM tuner myself..... that i built off of an 2000 civic Si platform. As far as mods..... I paid about 650.00 USD for my body kit, and it came with the lights, and for rims you are probably looking at between 1,000.00 and 4,000.00USD depending on the type of rims and the sizes that you want. And for getting the mods done..... do them yourself..... most tuners hate people with "shop cars" this means that you didn't do the work yourself...... but bigger stuff like turbos and headers, exhaust etc.... take that to the shop.... but kits and rims you can do yourself!!! My recommendations would be to get a good honda civic... regardless of the type.... and build it a little at a time.... start with a good exhaust.... ie. Skunk 2, GReddy, or K&N.... then get a Cold Air Intake or a turbo charger... ( if you plan on turbo charging your car.... make sure that your xhaust is turbo compatable) Then get your rims..... then your kit so you can make sure that everything looks good... then get it painted...... then you can do whatever other outside mods you may want to do... also interior wise if you are going to do anything... be careful because your car if it is after a 96 will have different sensors that you can set off if you aren't careful
Question: Honda Civic? Answer: 92-95 civic has the greatest availability of aftermarket parts out there. I had a 95 ex and it was extremely easy to swap motors. If you want to keep the cost down but get the greatest improvement out of the car, (again assuming the 95 ex here) go with intake (don't go cheap. those hurt more than help. Akimoto makes a great one) 140.00 Exhaust HKS minidragger cat back is a good example. you can find used ones for about $250.00 Headers. Finishes up the intake and exhaust combo and gives the engine lots of breathing room and a healthy sound without the annoying high pitched whine most tuned systems have. I went with Airmass headers. they ran about $350.00 but that was in '98 You would be amazed at what you can find to really improve those great engines in or around $600.00. There are Tons of tuner shops around the country and you got a phenomenal tool with the Internet. Short version... Intake, Cat-back exhaust, Headers.
Question: Honda Civic? Answer: check your electrical system. and the battery
Question: Honda civic? Answer: ". There is a cap with four wires coming off of it right next to the engine" that is the distributor, the spark plug wires run from the distributor and the actual spark plugs are on the other end of the spark plug wires. its like a phone , the phone cord, and the reciever, you are looking at the reciever, now just follow the phone cord to the phone. check for spark, check for loose connections on sensors and wires , and you might need to test the fuel pressure to make sure enough fuel is reaching the injectors.
Question: Honda Civic? Answer: They are excellent in snow as are most front wheel drive cars You won't need snow tires but to be safe make sure the tires are in good condition if you're buying a used car. Also, if you are considering a used car make sure the coolant and thermostat are new so that the heater works as it should and you'll be good to go.
Question: Honda Civic? Answer: Well Honda made hatches from '84-87 (can swap in a B16, there are kits). '88-91 (you can swap almost everything in there, I believe HaSport has a K20 swap kit for it), the 92-95 (most popular and you can put anything under the sun in it). Same goes for the 96-2000 civics. My question when coming for the performance and handling is: Why does it matter? I'm guessing you'll be doing a motor swap and doing suspension and etc. So go with what you can afford, do your research. And max out what the car is capable of. For me if I had a choice, would be an EG hatch (92-95), either a CX or VX and drop in a built K20 and go all motor. But do whatever you want, it's your choice to have fun, and the car you want to have fun in.
Question: Honda civic? 1 year ago 1 year ago 1 year ago Answer: they are high revving engines. unless u open them up to about 5k rpm, they will appear to be slow. additionally, there are 3 types of engines in the civic, 1.6 with 106 hp, 1.6 sohc with 129 hp, and 1.6 dohc with 160 hp. but dont worry, u will still get to 7-11 in time to get a slurpee no matter what. lol
Question: Honda Civic Si? Answer: DUDE, they are ******* dooooooooope!!!!!!
Question: Honda Civic 2004 suspension system problems? Answer: That's all a bunch of BS !! IT pulls right because there isn't enough CASTER spread - from right to left !! U need to contact HONDA'S Headquarters !! NOT the dealership - look how long the dealership has jerked u around..U also need to inform the BBB & Consumer Affairs very soon.I don't care what it was built with - if it wasn't wrecked or put together wrong - u would not have a pull, been doing this for 40 years & this gets the all time award for MAJOR BS !!
Question: Regular Honda civic or hybrid civic ? Recently I have also be seen the 07 nissan altimas. They are still in my price range and a little more luxurious than a civic. What r your opinions on this car ? Do you know when the 08 altima comes out ? btw I am looking for a 4 door car and not a 2door one Answer: I would go for the regular civic since the technology for the hybrids are still in its infancy stage so just to be on the safe side in case anything goes wrong, you wouldn't want to be bled dry when it comes to maintenance although if you're looking for a sedan, I would just get an 08 accord
Question: 2007 Honda Accord or 2007 Honda Civic? -What are the differences between a Honda Accord & Honda Civic? Are they similar as far as size, power, reliability, gas mileage & cost? Which do you think is better a 2-door or 4-door? -Also, I heard that the Accord is going to be redesigned for 2008. Is that true? If I do decide on the Accord, should I wait for that model? -Is the Civic going to be redesigned too? -So, with everything considered...Accord or Civic? Thanks so much!! Answer: I've got an 06 Civic Sedan and I love it. It's a great car, rides nicely, handles well, looks good and gets good (34-36 mpg) mileage. The 06 Civic was the 1st year of the redesign, so this body style will be around a few years. The Accord has been out a while, so a 2008 redesign for it may be true. The Accord is a bigger, nicer and more expensive car. If you need that and can afford it, that's what I'd get. But if you are looking for something more affordable and don't neccesarily need bigger car, the Civic could be for you. Go to the Honda dealer and check them out for yourself.
